Welcome to SaaS thoughts

Whether you call it Software as a Service (SaaS), Managed Service Provider (MSP) or On-Demand Services, your organization uses the service running “in the cloud”. This blog will discuss these services, their benefits, drawbacks and operations. Are we biased? Yes. We believe that some services make sense for most organizations. Email security is one of those. However as Mark Twain said, “All generalizations are false, even this one.” Each Tuesday we will post information and questions about Software as a Service. Occasionally, we will have a "Guest Post" from either a consultant or vendor posting her/his thoughts on Managed Services generally as well as some degree of specificity based on her/his unique perspective. We encourage your insights, comments and feedback. Welcome.

McAfee Email Security users call 678-596-8817 to gain the best advice available on migrating their email security, encryption and archiving with no loss of service.

November 1, 2016 – Following the announcement by Intel that it is terminating its MxAfee Email Security business by the January 11, 2017, Blended Systems, has launched a free impartial telephone help-line open to McAfee/MXLogic business customers.

This seems like “Déjà vu all over again”, says Bob Stevens, CIO of Blended Systems. “We’ve been in the Email Security business for 20 years and seen many changes In the last few years, we migrated thousands of our clients’ users from Webroot in 2011 and Google/Postini Email Security Services in 2013. The good news for our clients is that this transition will be smoother.”

“Today’s Email Security needs include more than just stopping viruses and spam. The attacks today are aimed at company officers and unwitting users responding to seemingly “safe” messages. Today’s Email Security must be responsive to those needs.”

“Blended Systems has strong knowledge of the email security and other SaaS solutions and are able to offer the best advice on what, how and when to migrate user’s protection,” commented Stevens. He continued: “We always look to find a constructive and immediate way to help customers and share our understanding of how this development impacts their operations and review the options open to them both technically and commercially.”

The advice line will be handled by the Blended Systems support and technical team who will answer questions and any concerns around McAfee Email Security, other security services and information on security solutions. Advice on seamless migration options and recommended timescales is also available.

Blended Systems continually undergoes comprehensive technical and commercial review of the Email and Web Security as a Service (SaaS) market.
